Who am I?

I am a 29 year old holistic parent to three wonderful and beautiful children. I live in the province of Saskatchewan, surrounded by a lot of flat land and never ending skies. I was born and raised a prairie girl, yet I moved around Canada a lot, so I feel at home almost anywhere, although I do have a great fondness for the mountains.
My life is all about art and creative expression and for as long as I can remember, I have always been a creative person. I do not know what I would do without being able to express myself through art. My love for art started at a young age. I would doodle and draw on just about everything, including my bedroom walls. It wasn't until I discovered paintbrushes that I knew instantly what I wanted to do.
I love working with the human form, capturing people lost in thought or simply doing portraits from characters I create myself. I enjoy working with charcoal, pen & ink, oils and watercolor paints. I would like to spend more time on pottery, stained glass and wood working in the future, including working on the illustrations for the two children stories I have written.
Writing is my true passion in life and just to keep that side of me satisfied, I write on a daily basis, even if it's only a few thoughtful words written down. I eventually realized that I was at my happiest when I was lost in creating, so that is all I have been doing for more than a decade.
I love the art from the 15th century, as well as newer fantasy art. I am a big lover of art of all forms and I will always be on the lookout for new artists and art galleries, collecting my favorite pieces as I go.
My other interests and hobbies include traveling, world history, research, singing, concerts, reading, doll making, yoga and Nordic skiing. I love music and listen to variety of artists such as Arvo Pärt, Björk and Bathory. My favorite authors are Anne Rice, Diana Gabaldon, Alice Sebold, Marion Zimmer Bradley and Anais Nin.
I am always fighting for more awareness on autism, toxic and environmental issues.
