The arrival of winter.... |
November 12, 2008 |
So winter has started creeping in on us and it has changed the pace of life, which basically means I will be painting a lot more often. I have a lot of larger pieces that will be coming shortly, they are just in the final stage of having their finishing touches done. I was in full swing with commissions for a while, so I was unable to update. I'm actually still doing commissions but I work on paintings for the site when I can. I really can't wait to show the new creations. Stay tuned....

One festival done, another one on it's way |
August 12th 2008 |
Well the Folk Festival has come and gone and now I sit thinking about the next festival coming up. Details will be revealed in a week or so, when everything is comfirmed and ready to go. I am looking forward to being in the outdoors all day and meeting cool and interesting people once again. Just when I thought things would settle down, things changed and they are only going to get busier. I welcome the challenge though. I want to say a big thank you to all those who bought art, it really means a lot to me. Much love <3

Summer is almost over! |
August 7th 2008 |
Three new paintings have been added to the For Sale Gallery, as well as one painting added to the Other Gallery. Four paintings have been sold and I would like to say thank you again to the buyers. I will be at the Regina Folk Festival all weekend with my paintings, so make sure to look for In Reverie Designs. I will be selling most of the art in my galleries, as well as cards and post cards. We will have a lot of different hand made funky clothing available, clothing which is absolutely beautiful and unique. One thing I have not mentioned too clearly on the site, is that I do commissions. If you are interested and have questions, please leave me a comment on the contact page.

Back to the art for the summer |
June 9th, 2008 |
Okay, I am painting up a storm right now, as well as writing when I can. I am teaming up with two other crafty ladies and putting up a booth at the Regina Folk Festival. I will be selling my smaller paintings, some from the gallery but mostly newer pieces, all for affordable prices. The other talented ladies I am working with will have some incredibly beautiful one of a kind items for sale. So come out, look for In Reverie Designs and make sure to say Hi. I also just began a new batch of drawings for my Faun paintings, all to be done on canvas - finally! I am creating a whole new website for the new stuff for the simple fact that it does not quite fit in with the current art. I will post the link soon, so stay tuned.

My apologies |
May 5th |
I must apologize for the lack of updates. I am currently writing full time so there is really no time to paint. I have trouble finding time to even sleep these days. The art muse is asleep and my writing muse is now awake. I blame spring for that. Never fear, the art always comes screaming back. Inspiration is everywhere so it's gauranteed I will itch for my paint brushes sooner or later. I am working on two novels right now. I am almost near 200 pages in my science fiction story and I just finished nine pages in a new story today, which is quickly growing into it's own epic tale. I am having fun researching for both stories, everything from military information to the history of Vikings. Bathory's Nordlands I & II are vital albums for backround music as I write. If you are familiar with the music and are a fan, you will understand. This is Sir Salem and I. ![]()

I'm back!!! |
November 18, 2007 |
Hello everyone! I know it has been a long time but I am a very busy person. I was not able to paint as much as I would have liked and a big reason for that is I became a little obsessed with knitting in the last year. I just started spinning my own wool so as you can see, this has taken up much of my free time. With being buried in wool and children, art was squished in every so often. There are a few new paintings added to the For Sale Gallery. I have more coming, I just have to finish them. My process of painting has changed so much. I used to paint all night on a single painting and now I get a few hours in every few weeks and it's taking me months to finish a single painting. I have some fresh canvas ready to go and after I finish up the last batch of watercolor paintings, I will be working on oil painting because I miss it. I learned to paint using oils and it was my happy medium. I sort of played around with watercolors one day and out popped all the paintings on the site. I will be adding some orginial watercolor Holiday cards very soon so watch out in the next week or so for those. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the new art. Any comments are welcomed and appreciated. Also, feel free to contact me with any questions! Enjoy!
